9 Celebrity Models Who Fell From Grace
Even though supermodels have so many advantages like beauty, wealth, and influence, it doesn’t always make them model citizens.
Many of them end up getting caught in some pretty big scandals as a result. While they may have excelled in the high fashion industry at one point or another, these celebrities have also courted controversy off the catwalk, making headline learns for all the wrong reasons.
So let’s get into it. I’m your host, Rita Shields, and here are the top ten celebrity models who fell from grace.
1- Cara Delevingne
The model seems to be on a bit of a downward spiral these days and continues to spark major concerns with the series of disheveled public appearances. Recently, a distressing video of Kara at Vanni’s Airport went viral, which showed the star behaving erratically and out of thought.
She dropped her phone several times and was unable to stand still, but people are wonder what was going on in New York City for the launch of her fashion collection. She also didn’t show up to the Emmy awards alongside the cast of only Motors in the building.
Kara also came under fire recently for her behavior at the Billboard Music Awards, where she appeared to be following Meghan Natalien everywhere.
Several of the model’s antics ended up going viral following the show, including her peering around a corner and ducking in and out of Meghan’s photos while sticking her tongue out and shouting. It’s safe to say that the resulting photos took Twitter by storm.
2- Kate Moss
The supermodel went on a forced hiatus in September of 2005 when photos of her allegedly snorting a white powder appeared on the front page of London’s Daily Mirror, prompting H and M, Stella, McCartney, Chanel, and Burberry to cancel her contracts.
Kate was also threatened with arrest and gained quite a reputation as a hard party up.
Speaking about that time, she said that she felt sick and was quite angry because everybody knew that she was using illicit substances, she said, so for they to focus on me.
Less than a year later, all charges were dropped and after a stint in rehab,
Kate started her journey of sobriety. Her career was nearly derailed entirely due to the scandal, but she was able to restore it through years of hard work and perseverance.
3- Tyra Banks
America’s Next Top Model was a huge hit when it was on the air. Hundreds of young women tried out to be discovered on the show as the next big start in modeling.
Tyra had a lot of problematic moments while hosting the show, though fans were outraged when a video surfaced online where she was seen seeing some harsh things about the girls.
During season six, she told a contestant, Danny Evans, that she would never become a model because she had a gap in her teeth.
And ironically, she would later go on to win the season and model for top brands like CoverGirl and Sephora.
In season 13, there was also a questionable photo shoot where Kyra had one of the model’s dark skin tones to portray a different race, raising racial questions among many viewers.
Tyra ended up releasing an apology for her behavior, saying, been seeing these photos about the Insensitivity of some of the past and TM moments and I agree with you.
Looking back, those were some really off choices.
4- Buddy Holly
The model is best known for discussing her skin condition, vitiligo, and supporting body confidence. But she received immense backlash and came under a lot of fire after she allegedly fat-shamed a passenger on a yacht.
She posted a video on Instagram to her two 3 million followers of a shirtless male passenger sunbathing.
She zoomed her stomach and added the caption, sexy views. You’re welcome. The morning after the incident when he tried to address the controversy, saying that a random passenger on the boat is like my uncle.
And it was a family joke. Then, in late 2016, fans were outraged again when she referred to black model duckie thot’s natural hair as cauliflower’s head, which was pretty indefensible.
Around the same time, several fans took to social media detailing their horrible experiences, meeting the model who has now earned herself the reputation of being a very meanspirited person.
5- Estella Warren
The model and actress had quite a career in the early 2000s. She’s most well known for her role in the 2001 film The Planet of the Apes, and Maxine named her one of the hot One Hundreds of Two Thousand and One.
But things started unraveling for a stellar around 2011 when she was arrested for driving under the influence. She hit three parked cars with her Toyota Prius and fled the scene.
She managed to slip out of her handcuffs and escape once she was recaptured. She was then charged with a DUI, a hidden run battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.
She was released on a bail set at $100,000, but she faced up to six months in jail. After she was released, she entered a residential treatment facility where she wore an alcohol-detecting bracelet.
Then years later, in 2017, she was arrested for domestic violence for allegedly throwing cleaning fluid at her boyfriend. So Estella has certainly had several run-ins with the LAWRS.
6- Zaha’s hair
That is a unique story, as a French model had fallen from Greece before she was discovered by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and became his muse.
At 20, 10, and 17 years old, Zaha was embroiled in a scandal that made headlines all around the world and tarnished the reputation of one of France’s most beloved soccer stars, frank rivalry.
Another French soccer hero, Karim Benzema, was also alleged to have purchased her services while she was working underage the footballers faced up to three years in prison and fines of $60,000 each.
Although the scandal almost defined her whole life, she managed to pick herself back up, dust herself down, and even claimed ownership of what she would call a big label.
She ended up forging a successful career for herself as a high fashion model, and a designer and has even gone on to start in the award-winning film called an easy girl.
7- Naomi Campbell
While the supermodel still has a massively successful career, she almost lost it all several times. In 2010, she was forced to testify at the war crimes trial against former Liberian president Charles Taylor.
Back in 1997, she met Taylor and received diamonds from him after the two had flirted. She was then threatened with jail time unless she appeared at the hearing to give evidence against him because he was accused of selling diamonds to buy weapons.
Earlier in the civil war, Naomi also had been accused of committing acts of violence against her employees, associates, and in one instance, police officers.
Now we’re talking about the great cell phone-throwing incident of 2006, where she tossed a phone at her housekeeper so hard that she had to get stitches.
She also attacked two police officers at London Heathrow airport after her luggage had been lost. Consequently, the supermodel has been banned from British Airways for life.

Her addiction got so bad that she would wake up shaking with withdrawal symptoms, which she remedied with drinks that she always had in her bag.
Speaking about that time in her life that nearly cost her everything, Lara said the drinking was getting way out of control.
9- Stephanie Seymour
In the late eighty s and early 90s, Stephanie was a part of that Erin’s legendary supermodel pack alongside Kristy Turlington and Cindy Crawford.
But her love life has always been a bit messy. In 1993, her ex-boyfriend Axel Rose sued her for allegedly attacking him during a Christmas party, to which she responded by filing a counter-lawsuit alleging domestic violence.
Things settled down with her marriage to Peter Brandt until the couple began divorce proceedings filed with ugly accusations in 2009.
After that, the model made a ton of headlines due to family fights and even bizarre photos taken of her mouth-on-mouth kissing her son Peter.
Then, in 2016, Stephanie faced a humiliating experience of apologizing at a Connecticut court hearing over DUI charges when she reversed her Range Rover on a highway ramp.
