New World Record for Solar Panels: Risen Energy’s Hyper-ion HJT Achieves 741,456W and 23.89% Efficiency

Risen Energy, one of the leading manufacturers of solar panels, has announced the development of a new solar module that has set a new world record for power and efficiency.

New World Record for Solar Panels

The HJT series Hyper-ion solar module developed by the Chinese company Risen Energy has achieved a maximum power of 741,456 W and a module efficiency of 23.89%, thus surpassing the previous efficiency record of 23.65% achieved in December 2021 by a solar panel from the same company.

The results have been verified by TÜV SÜD, a global provider of testing, inspection, and certification services, and constitute a new benchmark for an industry that has been evolving at a dizzying pace in recent years.

PostOperators must have adequate conditions to invest and deploy communication networks.

Hyper-ion HJT solar module technology

This new record is primarily based on many technological innovations, such as the ultra-thin wafer, zero busbar technology, Hyperlink interconnect, and potting material.

The module also features an extremely stable temperature coefficient and high facility of up to 85% with a maximum variation of 10%. In addition, the module is capable of maintaining its power above 90% after 30 years of use.

The Hyper-ion module also has a carbon footprint (CFP) of less than 400 kg CO2 eq/kWc, making it one of the most sustainable solar panels on the market. This value is due to Risen Energy’s industry-leading 100μm ultra-thin cell technology and low-temperature process.

Even Liu, Senior Director of R&D at Risen Energy, states that “Hyper-ion has the best combination of improvements and reductions: high power and high power generation, high efficiency and reliability, low degradation and low-temperature coefficient, low CFP, and low LCOE”.

This new world record is another step in the direction of carbon neutrality and shows that solar energy can be a viable and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels thanks to its untapped potential.

The importance of solar energy in the energy mix

New World Record for Solar Panels

Solar panel technology is crucial in the current energy mix and the future of sustainable energy. As the world grapples with reducing greenhouse gas emissions and limiting climate change, solar power is a clean, renewable alternative that can help meet these goals.

Additionally, solar panels have become increasingly affordable and efficient in recent years, making them an increasingly viable option in the energy market. By combining cutting-edge technology with economies of scale, the costs of solar energy have been significantly reduced and made more competitive compared to conventional energy sources.

Solar panel technology also offers many environmental advantages, such as reduced greenhouse gas emissions and reduced reliance on fossil fuels. Likewise, solar energy is a distributed energy source, which means that it can be installed in places where there is no access to the electricity grid, which improves access to energy in rural and remote areas.

While much remains to be done to accelerate its wide-scale adoption, the growing interest in solar energy and continued technological advances suggest that its role in the energy mix will continue to increase in the coming years.
